The Haudenosaunee have been studied and described since the 1600’s. They may be the most thoroughly researched non-western people in the world. Thousands of books and articles have been published about them. This list includes some of the most well known publications but there are thousands more.  The categories we established (Philosophical Foundations, Oral Traditions and Stories, History, etc.) are for organizational purposes only.  Categories often overlap.
